Your best ranking is 12th, and it still earns nothing

This review is about what your website brings in from Google. We went through the site, your search rankings and your reviews. The main findings: Google tracks 23 searches for your site, none of them earn a single visit, and your closest ranking, "donegal electrician" at 12th, one push from page one, is still stuck at zero. The pattern behind it: your solar page and your homepage compete for the same search, and "donegal electric" is split four ways across four different pages. It's all detailed below, with what to do about each one.

01 The rankings

Real content, split across too many pages to win any of it

Google tracks 23 searches for the site and none of them earn a visit. Five of the 23 aren't even about you: they're the names of other security companies (Gallant Security, Enfield Alarms, Sheridan Security, RSPL Security, JEC Security), all landing on your alarm systems page by coincidence. The real story is what happens to your own searches once more than one page competes for them.

"Donegal electrician" is the closest ranking in this entire report, 12th place, one push from page one. It still earns nothing, because Google is also finding two other pages on your site for the same search and can't decide which one to trust. The solar page follows the same pattern in miniature: it's the right page for "solar panels donegal," and your homepage is still competing against it for the identical search.

Bottom line: You have a page for almost every search that matters. The problem is you often have two or more, splitting the credit Google would otherwise give to one.
02 The specifics

What's already working, and what's splitting the credit

Start with what's already right, since a report full of gaps can miss it.

What's already working

The trust signals here are as strong as anything we've reviewed this sprint: a real, named testimonial from Fergal at Crana Cranes & Construction Ltd, a real branded van photo, and five separate accreditations shown on the homepage, NICEIC, Safe Electric, RECI, NSAI for both CCTV and intruder alarms, and a Private Security Authority license. Two working contact emails and a consistent phone number, no mismatches. None of that needs to change.

Duplicate
Your solar page and homepage compete for the same search
"Solar panels donegal" should belong to your dedicated solar page. Right now your homepage also ranks for it, at 49th, splitting the authority Google would otherwise put entirely behind the page built to answer it.
Duplicate
"Donegal electric" is split four ways
The bare domain, the www version, your domestic electrical page and your commercial electrical page all rank for the identical search. Four pages fighting for one result is worse than one page fighting alone.
Missing
No sitemap Google can use
The list of pages you give Google doesn't exist at any of the standard addresses, despite the site running on WordPress, which normally creates one automatically.
Worth noticing

This is not a design problem or a missing-content problem. It's steady monthly work: pointing each search at one page instead of two or four, so Google can commit fully to the page you actually built to answer it.

Bottom line: The trust and the content are already there. The credit for both keeps getting split between pages that shouldn't be competing.
03 Done for you

The fixes, already written out

Each fix below is ready to hand to whoever manages the site.

Fix 1 · New text for your Google listing
This is what people see when Grants Electrical Services comes up on Google today, next to what it should say.
What Google shows now
https://grantselectrical.ie
Grants Electrical Services
No listing description set. Google is choosing text from the page itself.

Fix 2 · Point each search at one page, not several
Ordered by which split is costing the most.
solar panels donegal → owner: remove any solar mention from the homepage, keep it fully on /grants-electrical-solar-pv/

donegal electric → owner: pick one of the four competing pages (the bare domain is currently strongest at 18th) and point internal links there

donegal electrician → owner: same treatment, the homepage is already 12th, the other two pages are working against it
Fix 3 · Give Google the missing page list
No page list exists for Google at any standard address. Most WordPress SEO plugins generate one in a couple of clicks.

05 What it adds up to

Run your own numbers on it

Right now, from Google

23 tracked searches, zero visits from any of them.

Your closest ranking, "donegal electrician," is 12th, one push from page one.

Three separate searches are actively split across 2 to 4 competing pages each.

A 12th-place ranking earning zero is not a small gap, it's a page one step away from working, undermined by its own site. You know how many calls a job like Fergal's is worth and what your close rate looks like. That's the sum worth doing once the splits are fixed.

Why sooner beats later

Your tracked keyword count fell 4.2 percent over the last period. Every month the splits stay in place is a month a Donegal competitor with one clean page per search closes the gap on a ranking you're already one step from winning.

Bottom line: Nothing here needs new content or a redesign. It needs each search pointed at one page instead of several.
